‘Huge increase’ in car crime in North West Leicestershire

Georgia in top ten for most car thefts and recoveries

Georgia had the No. 9 most car thefts and recoveries in 2014, according to an industry analysis. LockJack Corp. said law enforcement officials recovered more than $83.5 million in stolen vehicles equipped with the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System in 2014. The average value of vehicles recovered by law enforcement is more than $10,000.

Six charged with 23 housebreakings and vehicle thefts across Edinburgh

Six people have been charged with 23 housebreakings and vehicle thefts across the capital as police clamp down on the crime. The youngest, a 15-year-old boy, has been charged in connection with the theft of ten vehicles from homes in Penicuik, Kirkliston and Currie.
