Bengaluru police register 5,755 motor vehicle theft cases in 2016

Bengaluru: The number of motor vehicle theft cases has been increased to 5,755 during 2016 as against 5,345 cases in 2015 and the Bengaluru police, apart from utter failure in anticipating violence in three unscheduled events such as Cauvery water dispute, garment factory workers and farmers protest, failed to detect the number of motor vehicles theft cases. The number of motor vehicles theft cases detected in 2016 was 1,039 against 5,755 cases reported during the year. - See more at:
